Maharashtra HSC results 2021: Evaluation formula released, board to follow 30:30:40 criteria

The Maharashtra government revealed their formula for students pursuing their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) on Friday. Nearly two weeks after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council of Indian Secondary Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced an evaluation pattern for class 12 results, the decision was made.

Varsha Gaikwad, the state’s education minister, said that HSC results would likewise follow the 30:30:40 formula.

Class 10 and 11 grades would each be given 30% weightage.

Internal class 12 marks and students’ performance throughout the year will be given 40% weightage.

What if students aren’t happy with their grades?

Depending on the COVID situation in the state, the Maharashtra Board will conduct two rounds of exams for students who are dissatisfied with their results and want to improve their marks.

Every year, about 1.5 million students in the state take the HSC exams.
