TCS plans to hire 40,000 new employees

TCS, the world’s largest software exporter, would hire more than 40,000 freshers from Indian campuses in the fiscal year 2021-22, according to a top executive.

The corporation, which employs more than 5 lakh people and is the largest employer in the private sector, hired 40,000 graduates from colleges and universities last year and expects to increase that figure this year, according to Milind Lakkad, its chief of global human resources. He claims that the pandemic-related hiring limits aren’t a problem, Mr. Lakkad told reporters, “We will continue to hire and hire 40,000 or more this year in India.”He also stated that the corporation will do a better job with the 2,000 trainees hired from American colleges last year.

N Ganapathy Subramaniam, the company’s chief operating officer, said there is no shortage of talent in the country and dismissed concerns about its cost. Given their skill sets and work culture, he described Indian brilliance as “phenomenal.”
