Physical education classes are permitted in higher education institutes in Goa

The Goa government decided on Monday to enable higher education institutions to hold offline classes for students who have completed all of the required Covid-19 SOPs. The state government has abolished the limits imposed on educational institutions for conducting classes in a physical mode, according to the Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolayekar’s circular.

“Based on the ground realities and infrastructure availability, the Heads of Educational Institutions under the purview of the Directorate of Higher Education may take an appropriate decision to conduct courses in the physical mode for the upcoming academic year 2021-22,” it reads, as reported by PTI.

Only graduate and post-graduate students will be affected by this decision. The circular also said that all non-vaccinated employees, excluding those who are unable to be vaccinated due to being Covid-19 positive, must submit an RT-PCR test report every week.
