The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Saturday that a programme to train school teachers as creative ambassadors will be launched soon. On July 16, a new online training programme for CBSE teachers will be launched. On July 20, the classes will begin. Each school has the option of nominating up to five instructors for the programme. The ‘Innovation Ambassador Program,’ according to a CBSE statement, is collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A total of 50,000 teachers will receive training to become creative ambassadors.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has agreed to commence the online training programme for CBSE teachers on July 16, according to CBSE. Schools have till July 10 to register their teachers for the online training programme at mic.gov.in/sia. On July 20, the classes will begin. According to the notification; schools can suggest up to five teachers for this initiative. The programme was previously launched in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Innovation Cell, and the AICTE.
CBSE and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) teamed up last week to launch a financial literacy curriculum for Class VI pupils. The Financial Literacy Textbook is being released as part of a new elective ‘financial literacy’ course that will allow students to grasp basic financial concepts at an early stage in their education.
The textbook covers a wide range of themes related to financial awareness, including teamwork and basic financial principles, as well as Banking, Security, and Digital Payments such as UPI, Cards, Wallets, and more. It covers the history of banking, the change from coins to paper money, the different types of banks, and the primary operations and services that banks provide.
