The company sold more than 10 Lakh vehicles
Auto company Bajaj Auto released the first quarter results of the current financial year 2021-22 on Thursday. The company’s standalone profit during April-June stood at Rs 1,061 crore, as against Rs 528 crore in the year-ago quarter. That is, the company’s profit has doubled on an annual basis.
In an exchange filing, Bajaj Auto said its turnover stood at Rs 7,715 crore in the June quarter, up from Rs 8,880 crore in the March quarter and Rs 3,417 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The income from the operation also increased from Rs 3,079 crore to Rs 7,386 crore. The company’s EBita stood at Rs 1,153 crore as against Rs 441 crore a year ago. Similarly, EBITDA margin increased from 14.3% to 15.6%. The company’s operating profit also increased year-on-year to Rs 1,087 crore from Rs 376 crore as against Rs 1,490 crore in the March quarter.
Vehicle sales increased on a yearly basis
Bajaj Auto sold around 3.42 lakh motorcycles in the domestic market. Similarly, 14 thousand commercial vehicles were sold. Bajaj Auto’s market share stood at 65.3%, as against 56.3% in the March quarter. The company’s leadership in the market continues unabated. Sold 6.48 vehicles despite the low availability of containers in the international market.
