Mahindra is poised to unveil its future flagship model, the XUV700, a day before the weekend’s Independence Day celebrations. The date has been confirmed by Mahindra, who says the XUV700 will be unveiled on Saturday evening.
The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most anticipated introductions of the year, with Mahindra aiming to compete with the Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari with its new SUV. For the past two weeks, the company has been actively teasing the XUV700, revealing various information about it.
Mahindra & Mahindra has released a new teaser that shows the XUV700 sporting the company’s new logo, which was unveiled on Monday. Pratap Bose, the carmaker’s new Chief Design Officer, created the new logo to emphasise the brand’s vehicles’ capacity to take on obstacles. On the outside, the XUV700 will have a solid design element, and Mahindra has been dropping hints about the SUV’s profusion of cutting-edge technologies.
The interior of the XUV700 SUV will be dual-tone. It will come with Adrenox, a new user interface, Alexa built-in, and Sony’s new 3D sound system. Body-hugging seats with adjustable headrests, horizontally positioned air con vents, push-button start, a new multi-functional steering wheel with mounted controls, rotary dials, a big central armrest, and a cooled glovebox will all be standard on the SUV.
A 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine is expected to power the Mahindra XUV700. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 200 PS. A 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with a maximum power output of 185 PS is also expected to be offered as an option.
