There is a relief news for the electric vehicle owners in the country. Tata Power is going to install electric vehicle charging stations at all petrol pumps of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in the country. For this, Tata Power and HPCL have signed an agreement.
Tata Power has tied up with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). Tata Power will provide electric vehicle charging stations for customers at HPCL’s petrol pumps. The charging company is enabled with the ‘EZ Charge Mobile’ platform, which will provide a seamless experience for the customers. In which end-to-end electric vehicle charging stations will be made available at retail outlets in many cities and major highways across the country. Tata Power will create EV charging infrastructure for customers at HPCL’s petrol pumps.
Sandeep Bangia, said, Tata Power Head (EV Charging), said, “We are excited to partner with HPCL. This partnership will motivate electric vehicle customers to charge electric vehicles at petrol pumps. This will also benefit EV customers. Because he will be able to reach the charging point easily. And for this reason, electric vehicles will be used on a large scale in the country. The objective of this partnership is to create a charging infrastructure for such vehicles with easy access to charging points for vehicles. Simultaneously use the new technology platform. This partnership is also under the Government’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP).
HPCL Executive Director Sai Kumar Suri said that Tata Power has a large network of more than 18,000 retail outlets and EV charging segment. The company has a partnership to create an all India charging ecosystem.
The Tata Group has a network of over 500 public charging stations in over 100 cities, including petrol pumps, metro stations, shopping malls, theatres and highways.
