The country’s leading vehicle manufacturer Mahindra has recalled around 600 diesel cars. The company says that a fault was noticed in their engine, due to which the company has taken this decision. These vehicles were manufactured between 21 June and 2 July 2021 at the company’s Nashik plant. The company’s vehicle was found to be defective in the diesel variant of its earlier Thar model.
The company will investigate and replace the defective diesel engines of these cars. It is believed that due to bad fuel, these engines got damaged prematurely. However, Mahindra has not told which models of the company have come in these defects.
Mahindra says that customers will not be charged money for the repair of the vehicles. The company will contact the affected customers and inform them about it.
Mahindra & Mahindra is the fifth largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in the country. It currently manufactures utility vehicles such as the Thar, Scorpio, Marazzo and XUV 300 at its Nashik plant.
