An educational technology start-up Aavishkaar Capital invests Rs 40 crore in Nalanda Learning

Nalanda Learning Systems, an education technology (EdTech) start-up, has raised Rs 40 crore from Aavishkaar Capital to extend its operations nationally. The company owns the ‘Little Laureates’ brand, which it uses to operate pre-schools in eastern India.Tamal Mukherjee, CEO of Nalanda Learning Systems, said, “We have raised Rs 40 crore from Aavishkaar Capital to fund our drive to expand nationally using digital material.” “The epidemic of COVID-19 has changed the educational landscape. While it has sped up the use of educational technologies, the benefits have been limited to a narrow segment of the population “he stated.

Nalanda, according to Mukherjee, aims to not only secure long-term learning and development outcomes for children, but also to reinvigorate and upskill the pre-schooling profession and provide complete, current, and early learning programmes.”We are really happy to continue cooperating with Nalanda as it promotes its high-quality pedagogy across India through its digital platform,” said Ajay Maniar, partner at Aavishkaar Capital.
