Customers of Ola Electric Scooters will be able to use ‘Hyperchargers’ in 400 cities

The Ola Electric scooter is getting closer to its formal launch in India, though the cab aggregator turned EV manufacturer has yet to reveal the precise date when the electric scooter would be available.

The business has also revealed that clients would be able to charge their vehicles using its ‘Hypercharger’ system, which is currently established in 400 Indian cities and has over 100,000 locations/touchpoints. Naturally, the majority of Tier I and Tier II cities would be covered, and Ola Electric users would be able to take advantage of Ola’s extensive network of Hyper charging stations. The company’s official website has information about charging locations per city.

The company previously stated that their electric scooter will be capable of charging from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes, which will provide a half-cycle range of 75 kilometres. And the total cycle range would be roughly 150 kilometres. The Ola EV would be the segment leader at this price point. The business has also started taking reservations for the scooter, with over 1 lakh units being reserved in only 24 hours, according to Ola. The token amount has remained same at $499. Expect the new electric scooter to cost between 1.2 lakh and 1.4 lakh rupees when it is released (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Bajaj Chetak Electric, TVS iQube, and the Ather 450X, among other significant competitors in the segment
