Elon Musk responds to comments on Tesla’s new automobile from YouTuber

Tesla has begun delivering the new and improved Model S Plaid to new owners. The new Tesla automobile has received a few big updates, including a completely redesigned steering wheel, improved acceleration stats, and visual modifications to the dashboard, interior, and exterior. Marques Keith Brownlee, also known on the internet as MKBHD, a YouTuber, expressed his thoughts on the new Plaid model. After a long drive, we got our first impressions of the Model S Plaid (almost 1000 km).

He praises numerous aspects in the video, including the exceptionally quick acceleration, the redesigned dashboard, and even the external modifications. However, in the 20-minute film, there were some important drawbacks that were also mentioned. The steering wheel, or as Tesla likes to call it a ‘Yoke,’ is one of the greatest modifications in the updated version of the automobile, according to MKBHD. The Yoke is a steering wheel that appears to be taken from the cockpit of a plane.

While the Yoke is a wonderful conversation starter, it can be a concern for long-term drivers who rely heavily on muscle to control a vehicle. The lack of a top and bottom to the steering wheel, according to MKBHD, could necessitate a lot of re-calibration. He also mentioned how the lack of physical buttons on the steering wheel makes it difficult to locate the controls quickly. He also mentioned that the buttons’ sensitivity causes unintentional touches.

Elon Musk, who was recently interviewed by MKBHD, praised the YouTuber’s contributions, calling them “good review & fair assessment.”To solve the issue of mistakenly touched touch-sensitive buttons, Musk reasoned that the car’s intuition would improve over time, requiring fewer and fewer interactions with these buttons on the Yoke. “In general, with interfaces, any input is incorrect,” he said in a tweet. The car’s intuition will improve with each software upgrade. You’ll need to hit buttons less and less as time goes on, and it’ll get easier.

To justify the use of a futuristic-looking Yoke, it was said that it allows for a better view of the screen behind the wheel. He noted in a tweet, “The full self-driving interface also renders across the entire monitor, which is stunning. The yoke allows for a clear view of the screen.”
