July sales for Maruti Suzuki increased by 50% to 1, 62,462 vehicles

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country’s largest manufacturer, reported a 50% increase in July sales to 1, 62,462 vehicles. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) announced in a statement that it sold 1, 08,064 vehicles in July of last year. Domestic sales grew by 39% to 1, 41,238 units last month, compared to 1, 01,307 units in July 2020, according to the report.

In the same month last year, sales of tiny cars like as the Alto and WagonR totaled 19,685 units, up from 17,258 units.

Sales of compact cars such as the Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, and Dzire increased to 70,268 units in July, up from 51,529 in July last year. Ciaz, a mid-size sedan, sold 1,450 units, up from 1,303 the previous year.

Last month, sales of utility vehicles such as the Vitara Brezza, S-Cross, and Ertiga totaled 32,272 units, up from 19,177 the previous month, according to MSI. Exports increased to 21,224 units in July, up from 6,757 units in the same month previous year, according to the business.
