Mercedes to enter the field of electric cars

The company will launch three only electric architectures of Mercedes-Benz by 2025.

The demand for electric cars is increasing continuously in the country. Along with the subsidy of FAME-2 of the Central Government, the State Government is also bringing new schemes to promote Electric Vehicles. America’s electric car maker Tesla has also stepped into the country. In such a situation, now Mercedes-Benz has also announced to make all its cars electric.

All vehicles to be launched by 2025 will be electric

The company says that it will convert all segments of the vehicles it manufactures to electric. The company will complete this plan by 2022. At the same time, all the vehicles launched from 2025 will be electric only. Also, the customer will start getting this option in all the models of the company.

In the next 10 years, Mercedes-Benz wants to be a leader in the fully electric car market. With this, the company’s CEO Ola Kelenius says that the company’s expenditure on combustion engine technology will be near zero by the year 2025.However, Daimler plans to wind down its truck division later this year, as well as renaming it Mercedes-Benz.

The company will also make charging points

To promote electric vehicles, Mercedes wants to install 530,000 charging points worldwide. For this, the company will invest more than 40 euros (about Rs 36 lakh crore) between 2022 and 2030 on electric vehicles.
