Oppo Watch 2 is now available, with twin chipsets, multi-software support, and LTE connectivity

The Oppo Watch has a successor, the Oppo Watch 2, which was released almost a year after the original. The number two not only reflects the number of operating systems and chipsets in the smartwatch, but it also represents the number of operating systems and chipsets in the smartwatch. Yes, the Oppo Watch is the first smartwatch to feature dual OS boot and dual CPUs, giving users greater customization options.

Oppo introduced the Oppo Watch 2 in three different models at its China presentation. Two of these models are more expensive and have cellular support, while the third is the cheapest of the bunch but lacks LTE connectivity. The Oppo Watch 2 isn’t a huge improvement over its predecessor in terms of design, but there are some small differences to notice when comparing the Watch 2 and the Watch side by side.

Price of the Oppo Watch 2

The Oppo Watch is available in three different variants, each with a different price tag.

The CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs 14,900) Oppo Watch 2 42mm Bluetooth version is available.

The Oppo Watch 42mm LTE is priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 17,200).

Finally, the Oppo Watch 2 46mm LTE is priced at CNY 1,999, which is around Rs 22,900.

Customers who pre-order any of the three Oppo Watch 2 versions will receive a discount on their selected model. As a result, the first model will cost CNY 999 (approximately Rs 11,440), the second will cost CNY 1,299 (about Rs 14,900), and the third will cost CNY 1,799 (nearly Rs 15,900). (roughly Rs 20,600). In China, pre-orders are currently open, and the sale will begin on August 6.

Oppo has not stated whether or not the Watch 2 would be released in more markets. If India is one of the markets where the Oppo Watch 2 is eventually released, there’s a good possibility it won’t have LTE capability. In India, the original Oppo Watch does not feature LTE, despite the fact that its Chinese and global counterparts have.

Specifications for the Oppo Watch 2

The Oppo Watch 2 has two operating systems: Android-based ColorOS Watch and RTOS, which is a unique feature. Customers will be able to choose whatever software they want to run on the smartwatch when it boots up. But that’s not all. There are also two chipsets. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 CPU and the Apollo4s for the Oppo Watch 2

The rectangular dial of the Oppo Watch 2 is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes. The display is surrounded by small bezels, similar to the Apple Watch. Oppo’s new watch will appeal to the majority of customers because it closely resembles the Apple Watch. The display is a curved-edged 3D AMOLED flexible display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 326 PPI pixel density, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, which is necessary.

On the Watch 2, Oppo includes over 100 watchfaces, but you can always make your own with the new AI Outfit 2.0 feature. This function allows you to select a watchface that matches your wardrobe from a selected list. A silicone strap with a buckle is included with the smartwatch. The strap, according to Oppo, is breathable and comfy. Last year’s Oppo Watch did not cause me any discomfort while I was wearing it, so the competition was a no-brainer.
