Petrol price rose by 35 paise Today

Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked once again today. Petrol has become costlier by 35 paise in capital Delhi today. After this increase, petrol is being sold at Rs 98.81 a liter. This is the 16th increase in fuel prices in June. 

The people of the country are suffering from inflation. This is seen to have a direct effect on the essentials of daily use. Today, petrol prices went up again. Petrol price has been hiked by 35 paise per liter in the national capital today. After today’s increase in petrol, petrol in Delhi is 99. Reached 16 rupees. The good news is that there has been no increase in diesel prices today.

Central and state government bumper revenue from taxes on petroleum products:

According to RTI data, the central government’s revenue from customs and excise duty on petroleum products has increased by more than 56 per cent during the Corona period.

In 2020-21, it has earned Rs 37,806 crore on imports of petroleum products. So through central excise duty 4. 3 lakh crore. On the other hand, Rs 46,000 crore has been spent on import duty on petroleum products.

Petrol price hiked by Rs 8.76 in two months:

Petrol, which was Rs 90.40 per liter on May 1 in the national capital, is now Rs 99. 16 per liter. In the last 60 days, petrol prices have gone up by Rs 8.76 per liter. Similarly, the price of diesel in the capital has gone up by Rs. Rs 89.18 per liter.
