According to RTI data, the central government’s revenue from customs and excise duty on petroleum products has increased by more than 56 per cent during the Corona period.
In 2020-21, it has earned Rs 37,806 crore on imports of petroleum products. So through central excise duty 4. 3 lakh crore. On the other hand, Rs 46,000 crore has been spent on import duty on petroleum products.
Petrol price hiked by Rs 8.76 in two months:
