Tesla sold 2 lakh vehicles worldwide in 4 months

Tesla built 206,421 vehicles and delivered 201,250, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its challenges.

Tesla, the world’s largest electric car maker, has delivered 200,000 vehicles in the second quarter of the year. Elon Musk’s company Tesla produced 206,421 vehicles in the second quarter, of which it sold 201,250 vehicles. “Our teams have done a great job despite the global supply chain and logistics challenges,” the company said.

Elon Musk said on social media that despite many challenges, our team built and sold more than 200,000 cars in the second quart, for this the entire team grew. During the last quarter, Tesla delivered 185,000 cars globally, which was also a new record.

Tesla has also arrived in India

Tesla has also entered India in January. Earlier there were reports that the company would launch the Tesla Model 3 in the country by June. However, this work is getting delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tesla’s Model 3 car was launched in the US 14 years ago. There its price is $ 54,990 i.e. about 40 lakh rupees. But, its price in India may be higher.

In a statement, the company praised its employees for doing an “outstanding job” in navigating the supply chain and logistics challenges, including a global shortage of semiconductors. Tesla currently manufactures the Model S sedan and Model X SUV only at its factory in California, US, and the smaller Model 3 and Model Y at its plant in Shanghai. The bulk sales were of Model 3 and Model Y.
