Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched its OBD2B compliant 2023 H’ness CB350 and CB350RS models, with both motorbikes available at BigWing dealerships by the end of March. The H’ness CB350 starts at INR209,857 ($2,831) and the CB350RS at INR214,856 ($2,902) for the Delhi ex-showroom price. The launch comes with a new customisation section for CB350 customers called ‘My CB, My Way’, which features six custom kits available across BigWing dealerships by the end of March 2023, to meet the changing needs of customers.
The CB350 models use a 350cc air-cooled four-stroke OHC single-cylinder engine equipped with PGM-FI technology, delivering a maximum torque of 30Nm at 3,000rpm. A main shaft coaxial balancer on the cylinder eliminates primary and secondary vibrations, while the CB350 exhaust system carries a large tailpipe of 45mm to produce a bold low-pitched sound.
The models’ air-cooling system maintains highly dense air intake to improve efficiency, and the engine uses an offset cylinder position to reduce sliding friction, while an asymmetrical connecting rod ensures minimum energy loss during combustion. The motorcycles also use a closed crankcase with a wall between the crankcase and transmission to reduce energy loss due to internal friction.
The 2023 CB350s are equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control, which helps maintain rear-wheel traction by detecting the difference between front and rear wheel speeds and calculating the slip ratio, while the Honda Smartphone Voice Control System allows riders to connect their smartphones to the motorcycle via Bluetooth to use features such as phone calls, navigation and music playback. The Advanced Digital-Analogue Meter integrates details such as torque control, ABS, a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, a gear position indicator and battery voltage, with the fuel efficiency details displayed in three modes – real-time mileage, average mileage and distance to empty.
