Officials of major industrial associations say that Uttar Pradesh has made remarkable strides in the field of mobile manufacturing under the Digital India Mission. Large companies are investing in the state due to the government’s investment policy. In the year 2014, only 6 crore phones were manufactured in the country, 11 crore in 2015-16 and 5 crore in 2016-17. Now, 12 crore handsets will be manufactured in Vivo’s factory to be set up at Yamuna Express Development Authority.

Seeing these factories of mobile phone manufacturing being set up in UP, it is now being said that the companies which were till now dependent on the manufacturing units of China for mobile handsets in the country, are now making their own brand mobile handsets in Uttar Pradesh. have been.
