Uttar Pradesh to become India’s mobile manufacturing hub

The smartphone market in India is growing day by day. In this regard, Uttar Pradesh is now emerging as the country’s leading hub in mobile manufacturing. Several companies including Oppo, Vivo, Samsung Lava are looking to make mobile products in the state. Uttar Pradesh will soon become a major hub for mobile phone production through these domestic and foreign companies. Billions of people across the country will be seen using smartphones made in Uttar Pradesh, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and Lava. Officials of major industrial associations say that Uttar Pradesh has made remarkable strides in the field of mobile manufacturing under the Digital India Mission. Large companies are investing in the state due to the government’s investment policy. In the year 2014, only 6 crore phones were manufactured in the country, 11 crore in 2015-16 and 5 crore in 2016-17. Now, 12 crore handsets will be manufactured in Vivo’s factory to be set up at Yamuna Express Development Authority.

More than half the handset demand will be met by these factories

Seeing these factories of mobile phone manufacturing being set up in UP, it is now being said that the companies which were till now dependent on the manufacturing units of China for mobile handsets in the country, are now making their own brand mobile handsets in Uttar Pradesh. have been. These include companies like Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Lava and Formi. All these companies will make crores of mobile handsets every year. More than half the demand for mobile handsets in the country will be met from the companies being set up in the state.
