WhatsApp’s Desktop App Has Been Released To The Public Beta Program

WhatsApp, like most other apps, is subjected to beta testing. This is crucial because they need to ensure that the software works before releasing it to the general public. After all, it would be awful if they released an app or update to the general public and it didn’t work or, worse, broke the app.

WhatsApp already has betas for its iOS and Android mobile apps, but WABetaInfo reports that the company is now working on introducing its public beta programme to its desktop software. Many of you are aware that WhatsApp has a desktop client that allows users to chat without having to continuously grab for their phones.

This beta programme allows users to check out new features ahead of the rest of the world, as well as assist WhatsApp in identifying bugs and potential security issues before it is published to the general public. This beta will include both the Windows and macOS platforms.
